The Tip of the Triangle

Our Trustees serving on the General Service Board, the A.A. World Services Corporate Board and the A.A. Grapevine Corporate Board are remarkable people!  The Board members are all volunteers that give of their time, many hours per week, and share their professional skills and personal experiences as they work for the good of A.A. as a whole.  We have wonderful people on staff serving A.A. at the General Service Office as well!  As your Delegate, I have had the pleasure of working with all of them at the General Service Conference last year, and again at this year’s 75th GSC.

Upon reflection of the General Service Conference week, I am filled with gratitude to have been part of the process of working with wonderful Trusted Servants for the good of A.A.’s future.  I have a greater appreciation for the structure of A.A., the inverted triangle.  My belief in the wisdom of A.A.’s Three Legacies of Recovery, Unity & Service has grown deeper.  I now understand the pressure that is placed on our Trustees and staff, those people that comprise the “tip of the triangle.”  Per today’s Grapevine quote, “A.A.s greatest power is not the program itself, but in the examples of the people who have followed it.”  It has been my privilege to serve Area 56, to serve with the other 92 Delegates of the US and Canada, the GSO staff, and with our Trustees of the GSB, AAWS and Grapevine/LaVina.  What wonderful examples of ‘servant leadership’ they are!

Please attend our Area 56 Assembly on June 21st to hear my full Delegate Report on the 75th General Service Conference!

Service is where the fun starts!
